Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ professor to appear at U.S. Civil Rights Commission briefing April 4

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Law Professor has been invited to a briefing Friday, April 4, to discuss the impact of illegal immigration on wages of low-income black workers.

The briefing is set for 9:30 a.m. in Room 540 of the Commission headquarters in Washington D.C.

Swain, who holds a political science faculty appointment at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ and is the editor of (Cambridge University Press), hosted a conference at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ recently around the book’s themes.

United States immigration policy, particularly as it relates to illegal immigration, has been the subject of high profile debate in recent months. The commission plans to use the hearings to assess the impact of illegal immigration on the earnings of low-income black workers.
